CYBERJAYA — In an effort to reach new clientele in the time of the pandemic, Primary Guard, in collaboration with Malwarebytes, recently concluded an online survey.
The survey was intended to gauge the malware and cybersecurity threats and what businesses can do to protect against them. The survey, promoted on Primary Guard’s Facebook page, called upon current clients of Primary Guard and Malwarebytes as well as new, potential clients looking into cybersecurity.
More than catering to their clientele, Primary Guard aims to keep the public constantly informed of the latest developments in the world of cybersecurity.
“We understand that business has to be conducted differently, nowadays. With the sudden shift of internet usage, more and more companies are relying on home networks to conduct businesses which leaves them wide open to malware attacks. Our partnership with Malwarebytes hopes to curb this problem for all our clients.” – Terrence Yong Mien Ee, Enterprise Sales Director at Primary Guard
To join, participants simply log onto survey.primaryguard.com from July 1-30 and answer the questions stated. Participants need to answer 5 questions correctly and register using their work emails. The questions revolved around basic definitions of malware and ransomware, basic safety protocol for potentially harmful email, and the resources needed for cybersecurity. This survey allows Primary Guard and Malwarebytes to not only inform the public of the threat of malware but also inform them of the many ways the public can safeguard against it.
As an incentive for accomplishing the survey, participants who qualify stood a chance to walk away with amazing prizes from Primary Guard and Malwarebytes. There were 50 winners who stood a chance to walk away with a free, 30-day enterprise trial license from Malwarebytes as well as 10 winners who stood the chance to walk away with a free, 1-year Premium (personal) license from Malwarebytes.
The outcome of the survey was significant, with a total of 57 signups. Out of the 57, only 15 qualified and therefore walked away with 1-year Premium licenses. These licenses provide unmatched protection that other antivirus software can provide for both Mac and PC. Recent statistics show that Malwarebytes scans 39% more threats than standard antivirus products can provide. This proves the 1-year Premium license to be more valuable, especially with the newly added protection for Mac.
