Malaysia-based Primary Guard is now an authorized bunny.net enterprise partner in Southeast Asia, adding bunny.net CDN and Shield security.
Primary Guard, a Malaysian cybersecurity and IT services company, is now an authorized bunny.net partner in Southeast Asia. bunny.net announced the enterprise partnership on LinkedIn. It lets Primary Guard offer bunny.net's edge network and security services to clients across the region.
What the bunny.net partner status means
bunny.net is a global content delivery network (CDN) and edge security platform. A CDN delivers websites and applications from servers close to the visitor, which helps pages load faster.
In its announcement, bunny.net said Primary Guard clients can get its edge network through the security partner they already work with. There is no additional vendor to onboard.
bunny.net also pointed to Primary Guard's local experience. It said the team has worked with regional regulations, procurement and security threats since 2019. Primary Guard also runs its own security operations center, with 24/7 monitoring and incident response.
Primary Guard already delivers CDN and web application firewall (WAF) services with Cloudflare. bunny.net now gives clients another option for edge delivery and protection.
What Primary Guard can deploy with bunny.net
According to bunny.net's announcement, Primary Guard can deploy the following, tuned to each customer's environment. The feature descriptions come from the bunny.net Shield page.
- WAF: blocks threats such as the OWASP Top 10 and zero-day exploits.
- DDoS mitigation: handles large floods of traffic aimed at taking a site offline.
- Rate limiting: sets request limits per IP address, user or path.
- Bot mitigation: detects and blocks malicious bots in real time.
- API protection: guards APIs and login pages against brute-force abuse.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a CDN and a WAF?
A CDN (content delivery network) serves your website from servers close to each visitor, so pages load faster. A WAF (web application firewall) sits in front of your site and filters out malicious requests, such as attacks listed in the OWASP Top 10. Many businesses use both together.
Does bunny.net have servers close to Malaysian users?
bunny.net's CDN page lists points of presence in several Southeast Asian cities, including Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Jakarta, Bangkok, Manila and Ho Chi Minh City. Nearby servers shorten the distance data has to travel to your visitors.
How do I know which service fits my website?
Start with where your visitors are, what traffic you receive and which threats worry you most. The answers show whether you need faster delivery, stronger protection, or both. Primary Guard can walk through them with you before you choose.
