CYBERJAYA — In an effort to usher Malaysia’s technological landscape into the new era, Primary Guard has dedicated itself to protecting the data infrastructure of companies both big and small. As a result, their efforts are recognized by various awards-giving bodies worldwide. Primary Guard is honored to be part of the finalists for WITSA Global ICT Excellence Awards 2020.
Their continued partnership with the Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has benefited both the company and the foreign ministry. Through this partnership, Primary Guard is able to showcase its vast capabilities as both a data management and cybersecurity company. And thanks to this partnership, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is able to process the vast amounts of data necessary to further relations with Malaysia’s global neighbors. This streamlined process is what caused the WITSA Global ICT Excellence Awards 2020 to take notice.
“We are proud to be one of the companies selected to represent the country. This nomination is not only a testament to the hard work that we at Primary Guard do, but also what the very best of Malaysia has to offer.” – Terrence Yong Mien Ee, Enterprise Sales Director at Primary Guard
Apart from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Primary Guard also works closely with other government agencies like the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Selangor Waters Management Authority (SWMA.) These partnerships have allowed these local government ministries to protect valuable data from cyber threats and usher in a new age of data management thanks to the hard-working team at Primary Guard.
The World Information Technology and Services Alliance (WITSA) was founded in 1978 for the sole purpose of consolidating various ICT economies and companies from around the globe. Their member organizations come from over 80 countries and represent 90% of the world ICT market. These companies have united under the common goal of furthering ICT innovations worldwide.
WITSA is able to aid in this goal through a number of ways. They support legislature and policies that aid the industry, facilitate in international trade of ICT products and services via their vast network of contacts, and promote the sharing of knowledge and information among its member organizations.
On its 20th anniversary, the WITSA Global ICT Excellence Awards continues the work it started in the World Congress on IT in Taipei: to recognize the achievements of private and public organizations in the world of ICT. Previous winners have come from countries like Nepal, South Africa, Argentina, and the United Kingdom.
The winners are selected and meticulously vetted by a panel consisting of the brightest minds in the world of ICT. With this year’s Road to WCIT hybrid event taking place in Malaysia, the team at Primary Guard feels especially honored to be a finalist.
